An American Celebration: Through Time & Space

Doors open at 5:30pm 

Presented by Triangle Wind Ensemble, this patriotic event celebrates the 50th Anniversary of NASA’s Apollo 11 moon landing mission. The concert and the music played are directly inspired by space, the planets, the mission itself, and the stars. Ticket prices vary so be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time on the event website.

  

Cary’s Memorial Day Remembrance

This special ceremony will honor those who have served our country as well as feature several speakers that have served in the armed forces.

 

Bond Park Adventure Day

Head to Bond Park on Saturday for a day filled with adventure and family fun. Unleash your inner adventurer with the High Adventure Course! Register for one of the times above at the event’s webpage. Otherwise, head over to enjoy a picnic, boat rentals including kayaks and pedal boats, and so much more!

E. Carroll Joyner Park Amphitheatre

Head to Wake Forest’s E. Carroll Joyner Park on Sunday for a music, snacks, and an all-around good time. This kid-friendly event offers the option for you to bring your own food or purchase from one of the on-site vendors. Watch the classic film under the stars on the back lawn of the Garner Performing Arts Center. Bring blankets, chairs, and the whole family! Craft beer will be offered by Brice’s Brewing Company, Rare Earth Farms Food Truck will be in attendance, and Kona Ice of Garner will also be there!

Must be 21 or older to participate! Enjoy food from Big Mike’s BBQ, American Meltdown, and Fuzzy’s Empanadas’ food trucks and tons of fun. Whether you choose to participate in the beer mile, or go straight for the post-run fun, it’s up to you.
