May 18, 11am-7pm & May 19, 10am-6pm
Celebrating 40 years in Raleigh, Artsplosure features arts and vendors that take over Fayetteville Street. All art is available to buy and take home. There will be several different types of art available including jewelry, pottery, photography, and paintings as well as performing art pieces. There will also be a special area just for kids - Kidsplosure! Kidsplosure will be located off Martin Street and include tons of interactive activities that the children can enjoy to enhance their love for art.
Got to be NC Festival
Just a few miles away from the downtown festivities is the Got to be N.C. Festival at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds! This festival runs from the 17th to the 19th and events, gate information, and hours can be found on the festival’s website.
Got to be NC is a miniature state fair with a focus on supporting local North Carolina companies and vendors. Children can enjoy rides like the ferris wheel and traditional fair games as well as tractor pulls. And don’t forget the fireworks! Food Lion will be sponsoring this year’s event and will have vendors set up for you to sample some of North Carolina’s tastiest local treats.
Both of these wonderful events offer a great way to check out Raleigh and all it has to offer. Have a fun weekend!
